Welcome Center (Munger Lodge)

Originally the home of Dr. Munger who unintentionally began the Boxerwood legacy out of his love for plants - especially Japanese maples - Munger Lodge is now the starting point for almost all activities at Boxerwood.  Walk on in to begin your garden tour, to find information, maps, a restroom, and the best view of the Blue Ridge in the whole garden!

You can usually find Hunter Mohring, Executive Steward, in the Administrative Office.  Come in to ask her questions, or just to say "hi!"  Bonnie Bernstein, our PreSchool coordinator is busy in her office, or outside with kids.  You also might find Karen (KB) Bailey, Garden Steward, but she's probably outside in the garden.

Daffodils of every color combination bloom just beyond the front porch of the lodge.

A bench just across the front lawn offers a great place to relax and enjoy the birds and the view, plus it's extra wide for napping in the warm afternoon sun.

Some instruction takes place in the living room.
