The Eye

One of Boxerwood's most popular play spots for human children, the eye got its name because from above, its inner circle of dogwood blossoms and outer circle of evergreens give it the appearance of (what else?) an eye.    Inside the eye is a magical world hidden from view... in fact, you actually have to duck and sometimes even crawl to get in, which helps make it more magical to kids by keeping adults out!  Check out the pictures below to get an idea of what the eye is like, but its true magic and excitement can really only be felt in person.

The outside edge of the eye forms brush piles in many places, providing a great home for all sorts of critters!

Learn how to make a brush pile and help out the wildlife in your yard.

Peeking into the eye from outside... the tricky camouflaged entrance helps keep it special.

Inside the eye

Benches and a swing form the center of a cozy woodland kingdom
The hidden tree seat makes a great:
bulletthrone for the forest king or queen?
bulletreading spot?
bulletowl perch?
bullethouse for a monkey?
