Volunteer Opportunities!
Working at Boxerwood is an incredibly rewarding experience and
a great way to spend time with local children, help our area schools, and learn
more about nature and yourself. Besides all that, it's fun!
Volunteers have a blast with the students and each other, making friends with
people from other social or professional "worlds" that they may not
have met otherwise. We train our volunteers and allow them to choose where
they are most comfortable, making available all manner of teaching
opportunities, from small group lessons in which you share your special talents
or interests, to larger sessions in which you follow a planned curriculum.
We also have plenty of garden, office, research and/or planning jobs, for those
who would rather not be in the teaching limelight. Volunteer
opportunities are available all year, and can be tailored to fit your schedule
and availability.
Motivated students with an
interest in education, experiential learning and the environment may teach
at Boxerwood through programs at local schools and universities.
