PUMP

| In
non-gravity systems such as this, effluent must be pumped to a desired
elevation. The pump is housed in a
pump chamber. Partially treated
wastewater from the septic tank flows by gravity to the pumping station.
When a certain water level is reached, the pump is activated, sending the
wastewater up to the media filters for further treatment.
The pump chamber has an aboveground port for easy pump service and
cleanout.
